ONA Insights 2021 is Oct. 14-15 in downtown Philadelphia! Participants will get to contribute to a collaborative learning experience as we explore how journalism organizations are reimagining approaches to audience development, product and work culture while planning for 2022. The number of in-person attendees we can host is limited to accommodate physical distancing.

Along with registration for the in-person event, Insights features a virtual-only registration for those not able to join us in person. As details are finalized, the schedule will note the specific sessions that will be available online via livestream and on-demand , including:

  • All featured sessions and sponsored sessions, which will be pre-recorded and streamed.
  • Livestreams and recordings of six of the in-person breakout sessions that happen live in Philadelphia, one per breakout session block.

We are also pleased to offer several registration scholarship opportunities. Applications open Sept. 1.

While we’re thrilled to host an in-person event (for the first time since 2019!), we want to assure you that the ONA community’s safety and wellbeing is our top priority. Refer to the Health and Safety FAQs to learn how we are planning for everyone’s safety.

We are working hard to finalize more event details, including venue location. Stay updated by checking the Insights FAQ page and signing up for the ONA Weekly newsletter.

Policies

Code of Conduct

Staff, supporters, volunteers, attendees and speakers are expected to adhere to ONA’s Code of Conduct.

Press Passes

Since ONA’s conferences are events for journalists, we do not offer press passes.

Accessibility

We consider many aspects of accessibility when planning our conference sessions and networking events. We’ll post detailed explanations of what to expect in terms of accessibility here and will update the page as we learn more about our capabilities for Insights. Registrants can make accessibility requests during the registration process.

Refund & Transfer Policy
Though we hope everyone who registers for ONA Insights will be able to attend and we plan to host a valuable, inspiring event, we understand plans can change (for both attendees and event organizers). We’ll do our best to support you and are grateful for your support of ONA. Please read the following carefully.

All refunds should be requested by Tuesday, Oct. 5. Refunds will incur a $50 administrative fee. (There is no fee for a student registration refund.)

If you need to request a refund or transfer after the deadline for any reason, please contact registration@journalists.org.

All registration transfers are complementary. However, registrations made at the ONA member rate may only be transferred to another ONA member. If not already a member, the prospective attendee should join ONA before the transfer is requested. (Membership fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.)

To request a refund or transfer, please complete this form.

Non-attendance does not constitute a cancellation.

If ONA has to move the conference fully online, All Access Pass registrations will be refunded back to the Virtual-Only Pass registration rate of $100.

If ONA has to cancel the conference entirely due to unexpected circumstances that prevent ONA from continuing with the event, all registrations will be refunded.
