About ONA Insights

Spark connections and ideas with the Online News Association (ONA) community at ONA Insights on Oct. 14-15, 2021

We are hosting the next edition of ONA Insights Oct. 14-15, 2021, in Philadelphia at the Sonesta Rittenhouse Square. The conference marks our first in-person community event since 2019, with a limited number of sessions available for virtual-only participation.

The pandemic has and will continue to fundamentally change the way we work. This edition of ONA Insights will facilitate learning, ideas exchange and community connections to help you develop your newsroom’s strategy for 2022. Specifically, we will explore approaches to these three areas:

  • Audience development and metrics
  • Product strategy and development
  • Reimagining newsroom culture

We’ll dedicate most of the breakout sessions to workshops and other interactive learning formats. It will be a great fit for participants excited to be active contributors and take a break from the lean-back experience of panel conversations. If you can’t make it to Philadelphia, we encourage you to join us for the virtual-only experience.

ONA’s conferences attract highly engaged digital journalists who are shaping the future of media and historically sell out year after year. The conferences are widely recognized for an unparalleled blend of learning, networking and inspiration. In addition to the Insights programming, we are also excited to gather the ONA community to celebrate the finalists and winners in the 2021 Online Journalism Awards.
