Federica Cherubini

Federica is a media consultant and editorial researcher, based in London. She is part of the Digital News Project team at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism in Oxford for which she conducted a study on how news outlets are using audience data, traffic measurements and engagement metrics in their newsrooms. Last February, as event producer, she helped the Hacks/Hackers London Committee to organise Hacks/Hackers Connect, a launchpad event for news-media entrepreneurs. For the past five years she worked for the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) on several projects, exploring the future of journalism and newsrooms around the world. She now works with WAN-IFRA on engagement strategies and editorial conference planning. In 2013 she was one of the three researchers behind the project ‘Monitoring, moderating and managing online comments: towards best practice,’ funded by the Open Society Foundation.
