Mikaela Rodenbaugh is the project manager for Pass the Mic, a database of sources from underrepresented communities such as people of color, LGBTQ+, female-identifying and nonbinary and disabled folks. She works as an Audience Data & Research Strategist for the innovation team for the USA TODAY Network where she helps turn data into insights journalists can use. Mikaela has a master’s degree in Public Communication and Technology from Colorado State University where she also studied journalism during her undergrad. A Colorado girl born and raised, Mikaela loves the mountains and hanging out with her backyard chickens.
