Elana Zak is head of newsletters at Politico, where she works across the newsroom to strengthen content strategy and forge best practices for Politico’s expansive newsletter enterprise. For five years, she was a senior editor with CNN, where she helped lead programming decisions for the business vertical across desktop and mobile homepages. Formerly, she was the lead social media editor at STAT News, and on the audience engagement team at The Wall Street Journal. Elana is on the board of ONA's New York City chapter and a 2018 graduate of Poynter’s Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media.
